Handyman & Maintenance by Torion Group

Overview

What a handyman & maintenance project involves

Not everything needs a project team. Doors that will not latch, a rotted section of trim, a light fixture that needs replacing, seasonal caulking — the jobs that accumulate on a list because none of them alone justifies calling a contractor.

We keep a maintenance crew for exactly this, mostly for clients we have already built for. It also means small problems get looked at while they are still small, which is generally the cheapest repair anyone ever makes.

What’s included

  • Door, window and hardware adjustment and replacement
  • Drywall repair, patching and touch-up painting
  • Trim, baseboard and moulding repair
  • Fixture, faucet and light replacement
  • Caulking, sealing and weatherproofing
  • Shelving, mounting and installation work
  • Seasonal property maintenance and inspections

Common questions

Is there a minimum job size?
We work in half-day and full-day blocks, so it is worth saving up a list rather than calling for one item. Most clients find a half day clears a surprising amount.
Do you only work with past clients?
They get priority when scheduling is tight, but no — we take new maintenance clients as capacity allows.
Can you tell me whether something is a repair or a bigger job?
That is often the most useful part of the visit. Some things genuinely are a half-hour fix. Others are a symptom of something structural, and you are better off knowing which one you have before spending money on the surface.
